Computer Science
 What is computer science?
About our class:
Elementary Computer Science teaches students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade skills to be successful in the 21st century. 21st century technology skills are those abilities that enable students to access, analyze, manage, synthesize, evaluate, create, and share information in a variety of forms and media. The most important aspect of computer science is problem solving, an essential skill for life.
Students receive 30 minutes of computer science instruction once a week. The 5 day cycle brings classes to the computer lab to use our new desktop computers. In their regular classroom, each student has their own Chromebook that may be utilized. Students have recently been equipped with personal school Google accounts to access the entire Google Suite for Education. In the More tab in the top header, find out what each grade level is currently working on through the learning targets students are being familiarized with each lesson.
